Hi, I’m Sarah Guest.

I am a PA state-certified English teacher and Autism and ADHD specialist with a passion for helping middle and high school students reach their full academic potential. My goal is to give students confidence in themselves as they develop foundational skills and find the tools and systems that work for them.

I have a B.A. in English Writing from the University of Pittsburgh and an M.A. from Duke University. With over 8 years’ experience, I have taught ESL in classrooms overseas as well as SAT prep, English literature and composition, and creative writing with Pittsburgh Prep. As the founder of Grow Strong Tutoring, I have contracted with some of Pittsburgh’s top prep schools, including Shady Side Academy, to teach study skills and writing to students on campus. I also work with students privately to reach their individual goals, whether that is going from overwhelmed to confident at school, finishing a challenging project, improving SAT scores, or writing a winning college application essay.

I have helped students graduate with grades they’re proud of and get into their top choice universities, including CMU, Georgetown, U Chicago, Duke, and more.
